Student Data Portfolios
Students maintain a data portfolio which includes educational and personal goals. This Assessment FOR Learning benefits students by allowing them the opportunity to chart their growth from important assessments such as the Informal Math Assessments, DIBELS (Reading Assessment), and Benchmark Assessments. Students review their goals each month and make adjustments as needed. Parents assist each month with this project. Oftentimes, 5th graders assist the younger students with their work. Students have access to their portfolios at any time. The first Thursday of each month is dedicated to focusing on the data notebooks along with character education activities.
Parents are invited to our Portfolio Day party at the end of the school year so students may share their extensive work.
